I have a little test for you. Try singing along with You're Too Hot in full voice. I did this a few weeks ago while driving along the Puget Sound and its quite a work out. I don't know how Debbie does it. I mean really if you are not in shape and you have to yell "Don't Touch Me, You're Too Hot, You're Too Hot, You're Too Hot....I think you'll probably pass out.
you've got an original idea! well it's hard to sing "ring of fire" too, and what about the jazz passengers's songs? Well she sings better year after year!
Debbie, in her early years could really hit the high notes, when she started singing with the jazz Passengers, it was like her voice was made too sing Jazz. Over the years Debbie has changed her tunes around, but she keeps getting better as years go by. I mean "Necessary Evil," how much better can anyone artist get.........
I agree with you Marcia, last year I heard a live cd(recordered in 2002 more or less)) from one of the original english punks group, fronted by a beatiful woman, very dark...well it was clear that woman doesn't make a vocal training at all.
That's the point! Debbie Harry always studies and training her voice from the beginning til today, and IT WORK!!!
I saw her sing this in Asheville, NC in Nov. '07 during her Necessary Evil tour. It was the highlight of the show. That song alone was worth the 550 mile round trip drive. She had the crowd mesmerized while she stormed around the stage shouting "You're Too Hot!!!!".
I wish i could had been there, i wanted to see Debbie perform her new record "Necessary Evil," so much, but things did not work out, and i was not able to go to Asheville NC, i hope that Debbie will come close to me so i can she her in concert again, Gary i glad you enjoyed the show, lol
