what 2 covers songs and 4 (2 Blondie and 2 Debbie) songs would you like to hear Debbie sing in a concert on an upcoming tour? (i'm not saying that a tour is evident) Mine Are:
Danceway
Angels On The Balcony
Necessary Evil (my all time favorite song!!!)
RushRush (my all time 2nd favortie song!!!)
I Said Never Again - Rachel Stevens
I Ran - A Flock Of Seagulls(i think thats the band)
Keep rockin' Debbie, you sound amazing and look nothing short of beautiful =-)
Lay Down by Melanie (I guess I'd give anything to hear that song live again *sigh* - in my opinion it's still the best cover they have ever done)
People Are Strange by The Doors (okay, wishful thinking)
The upcoming tour is gonna be Blondie, from what we hear, so I doubt they include Debbie's solo songs, although I strongly believe they should! They've done it in the past, anyway....
Here's my suggestion:
Orchid Club
I Didn't Have The Nerve To Say No
Rockbird
Dog Star Girl
The Passenger ( Pop / Gardiner )
Dream A Little Dream Of Me ( Schwant / Andre / Kahn )
Back in 2002, I went through a phase with the last song mentioned, from Mamas & Papas. I thought Debbie should sing it....! I discussed it with other fans....Mandy Rohr set up a poll on her 'Deborah's Magic' site....and finally, I shared my idea with Debbie in London, after a Blondie gig! She said " Oh, Chris hates this song...." and that was it! Having said that, I know they won't cover it.....but wouldn't be nice if they did? On the other hand, I somehow like and enjoy any song they play, so it doesn't really matter......
I honestly don't know for the covers (excepted maybe The Ramones' Pet Cematary)
End to End
No Exit (With Debbie only, the result is far much better!)
You're Too Hot
Needless To Say
